Huge Milestones

In the last 2 weeks, Parker has hit major milestones. He is crawling, pulling up on everything, climbing, and not wanting to be rocked (which of course hurt my heart). He is ALL boy and loves getting into everything. Our world is definitely beginning to be turned upside down.

Half of bathtime is now spent pulling up on the tub.

The crib had to be lowered all the way down, because we have a little monkey on our hands.

Toys are much more fun to pull up on than to play with!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Monday was my 35th birthday. The weekend before all the Felshers took me out to dinner at BR Prime inside the Beau Rivage. It was WONDERFUL!!! The chefs brought us out so much food, I guess they had been told it was my birthday ahead of time. We all had a great evening. I even stopped by the shoe store inside the Beau on the way out and got a awesome pair of shoes.

This is the strawberry bavarian creme cake from Fleur De Lis Bakery in Gulfport. It is unbelievable. My sweet husband brought it home to me on Monday. It truly is the best cake I have ever put in my mouth.

I had so many phone calls, emails, test messages and cards on Monday. Thank you to all that helped make my day special.

Christmas Card Disasters!

Ok, Ok, Ok----I finally accept defeat!!!!! Getting Reagan, the dog, and Parker to both look precious for our Christmas Card photo was too much to ask for, I guess. Below are a few of the crazy ones so each of you can laugh and take part in a little of mine pain. Since Parker was finally the only one that would cooperate he made the card this year. I'm sad we had to leave Reagan off--the 1st time in 8 years, but what was a desperate mom to do. There are those out there that haven't seen my precious boy so I had to pick the best picture of him. Hope you all have better luck than I did with your Christmas Card photo.
The look of fear and Reagan running away.

Reagan looking HUGE and Parker not smiling.

Reagan ran away and Parker wanting to play with the train instead of looking at the camera.

Sick, Sick, Sick

Well, like everyone else I know, Parker has been sick for over a week now. It started the Sunday after Thanksgiving and is still lingering on. I guess this is really the first time he has been sick and for that I can be thankful. I always heard my sister and friends say "When your child is sick, everything shuts down." Now I know what they mean. You just stay in the house for days and days. The bright side to staying home was all my decorating is done, all presents wrapped and other things that needed to be done around the house have been completed. God does give us blessings amongst all the "crude"!

So not only has Parker been sick with the running nose, chest congested, red ear and fever but he FINALLY cut 2 teeth. The bottom 2 on the front are in. I wish I could get a picture but he will not cooperate. So mommy intuition says that some of the fever and fussiness was also due to the teeth hurting.

I have been trying to take a picture for our Annual Christmas card for the last 2 days----my patience is TOTALLY being tested. We have always had a family picture of John, myself and Reagan our dog. But this year, John was so excited because he didn't have to pose for anymore Christmas card photos now that Parker was in our lives. So I decided to try and take a picture of Parker and the dog------yeah, not really happening. Parker will cooperate but not the dog. I am going to try it a couple of more times once John gets home and maybe he can help me get Reagan to sit or lay by Parker, if not I give up!!!

I have included a picture of the new Santa train that is running around our Christmas Tree. John brought it home one day this past week for Parker, but not quite sure WHO IT REALLY IS FOR! Parker is fasinated by it so all is well.

Giving Thanks!!!

Wow, I didn't realize it had been so long since my last post. I guess I have been caught up in getting ready for traveling to my parents for Thanksgiving, shopping for Christmas and getting all the Christmas decorations up!!! I meant to blog before the Thanksgiving holiday but ran out of time so here is a list of what I am thankful for in 2007:
1. A beautiful, healthy and happy baby boy.
2. A wonderful husband that works so hard to provide for his family, which allows me to be a stay-at-home mom.
3. My awesome friends, both new ones and all the oldy, but goodies.
4. A christian family to be brought up in.
5. A great church.
6. Some many blessings from God, that I can't even begin to name them all.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love the time that was spent with family that you don't get to see on a regular basis and all the AWESOME food. Here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving at my parents.

You can see Papa lovin' on Parker, all 3 grandkids sitting with Santa (we couldn't believe they all did it without anyone crying), bathtime with all 3, and Mary Grace helping bath Parker in the sink (she is such the little mother).
